Where We Meet
Contrary to popular opinion, the church is not a building - it is the
people of God whether they are gathered together for worship or are
dispersed for service in the community. But we do have a meeting place
where we gather regularly to meet God and one another . . . and to welcome
guests such as yourself! Come join us soon!

are located at 1604 Hammond Avenue, one block north of East Ridgeway on
the south side of Waterloo. (See city-wide map.)

The driving directions are as follows for
those coming from out-of-town:
From the North/US 218: Follow
US 218 into Waterloo. As you approach downtown, take the Washington St
exit and follow the ramp down to the service road paralleling the
expressway. Proceed east on Washington St through several lights,
gradually working your way over to the right-hand lane. At the W 9th St
light (Kwik Star on the corner), turn right (south) on W 9th. Go one
block to South St. Turn left. Go one short block and turn right onto
Hammond Ave. Go south about one mile to the church (after the second
four-way stop/E Mitchell, it is 3 more blocks). The church is on the
right (west) side of the street.
From the North/US 63: Follow
US 63 through Waterloo. After you cross the river, you will want to be in
one of the left two lanes. Follow the signs for US 218 south under the
viaduct. You are now on Washington St. Work your way over to the right
lane. At the W 9th St light, turn right (Kwik Star on the corner). Go one
block south to South St. Turn left. Go one short block and turn right onto
Hammond Ave. Go south about one mile to the church (after the second
four-way stop/E Mitchell, it is 3 more blocks). The church is on the
right (west) side of the street.
From the East or South/I-380/US 20:
After I-380 and US 20 merge, continue west on I-380/US 20. After crossing
the Cedar River, I-380 and US 20 will separate. Continue west on US 20.
Take the IA 21/Hawkeye Rd exit, and turn right (north). Proceed 1/4 mile
to the light at E. San Marnan. Turn right and go 1/2 mile east on San
Marnan, working your way over to the left-hand lane. At the first light,
turn left onto Hammond Ave at the Red Lobster. Proceed north about 1 mile
to the church, which will be on the left (west) side of the street. (1

From the West/US 20: Take the
IA 21/Hawkeye Rd exit, and turn left (north). Proceed 1/4 mile to the
