Missions at Hammond Avenue

We are committed to Jesus' Great Commission to his followers:

^{18 Then Jesus came to them
and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you
always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20; emphasis added)

Recognizing that we cannot all go "to the ends of the earth," we accept the challenge and opportunity to support others who go on our behalf. So we support many cross-cultural workers through our parent denominations, The Brethren Church and the Church of the Brethren through our annual budget. Currently we are supporting Hatian earthquake relief through Angel missions Haiti and Japan earthquake/tsunami relief through Samaritans Purse. We also support specific missionaries through our annual "Give Jesus a Christmas Present" mission offerings..
