Worship
8:30-9:30 a.m. & 10:45-11:59 a.m.

One of our purposes as God's creatures is to worship.  And the purpose of worship is to celebrate God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and enter into the presence of our Lord.  We have age-level appropriate activities for all ages: adults, children, and infant/toddlers.

Worship Center (grade 4 through adults)

In our worship celebration, you may join us in the singing, if you like; enjoy music led by our 8:30 worship team or by River's Edge band; hear a talk based on the Bible by our pastor; and experience the power of prayer for one another.

8:30 Worship - Our music at 8:30 is a blend of traditional hymns and praise songs (often accompanied by high-quality video).  Accompaniment is provided by a worship team consisting of piano accompaniment and vocalists.

10:45 Worship - The River - At 10:45 we have a more contemporary celebration featuring some of today's best new praise and worship music. Accompaniment is provided by River's Edge, our new praise & worship team, consisting of keys, acoustic & electric guitars, bass, drums (plus other instruments on occasion) and a team of vocalists who lead the singing. We invite you to join us in the singing . . . or if singing is not one of your strong points, feel free to either make "a joyful noise" or simply enjoy listening to the singing of others.

In both of our programs, we usually sing "off the wall," using our state-of-the-art projection system.  The pastor's talks are also illustrated on the screen.

Those who consider Hammond Avenue to be their church participate in a weekly offering.  The money received is used to support ministry locally, throughout the United States, and around the world.  If you are our guest, we ask that you not feel any obligation to give any money—your presence with us is your gift to us! In fact, when you come as our guest, we will have a special gift for you!

Kids' Own Worship (age 4-grade 3)
10:45 service only

Children in this age group begin in the worship center by sharing in the opening set of music. Then they go with a team of adults to participate in their own worship experience.

Nursery (infants-age 3)

Loving adults will provide quality care for your child during either of the worship celebrations. Please bring your children to the nursery prior to the beginning of the worship service and pick them up no later than 10 minutes after the conclusion of the service.  Ask one of the greeters or ushers if you need assistance in finding the nursery.
